The Greek Festival of Sydney

The Greek Festival of Sydney

The Greek Festival of Sydney, an initiative of the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW, has played a key role in providing a forum for showcasing a multitude of Greek and multi-cultural expressions for 42 years. The Greek Festival at Darling Harbour attracts over 80,000 people who are treated to a day of fine food, Greek festivities and quality live entertainment, including a performance by an international vocalist.

The Greek Orthodox Community NSW (GOC) is the oldest and largest organised Greek community entity in the country. Over the last 42 years, the community has staged the Greek Festival of Sydney during the months of March, April and May. The Greek Festival of Sydney was established in 1980 by the Greek Community Council, a body representing all the major Greek organizations of the time.
