Process
Typically, the key tasks and deliverables for an online project such as a website redevelopment are:
- Scope technical requirements for new site
- Development of new site, incorporating new visual designs and functional requirements
- Training & Onboarding
How will we deliver this? Process & Methodology
Inspired by Lean and Agile development theories, our approach has less emphasis on deliverables and greater focus on the actual experience being designed. In a practical sense, this means that during the design phase we favour very short, iterative, low-fidelity cycles, with feedback coming from all members of the implementation team early and often. In other words, we aim to deliver interactive or clickable mockups of key pages and tools early, with frequent opportunity to test and review. This process is quick, efficient, accurate, precise, and adaptive.
Review and Feedback plan
We aim to start the feedback and iteration process as early as possible, because the best work is deeply collaborative. This means we provide access to the development server(s) and tools such as Trello to monitor progress of tasks, flagging of issues and response to feedback.
