Teaching Diversity

A website developed for use by teachers to assess whether individual students’ motivations, parents’ attitudes and the schools’ structures and pedagogies impact upon students’ educational achievements and sense of social belonging. The site was developed by Mecca Medialight in conjunction with  Deakin University, Victorian Arabic Social Services, Scalon Foundation and ARC.  The website was part of a wider study: The Project – Cultural Diversity: An Educational Advantage  which was  developed over a number of years involving a partnership between schools, funding bodies and Deakin University’s Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation. 

It enabled teacher to collect their own selection of the resources  and download a single editable rich-text-format document (RTF) could be susequently customised in a wordprocessor.
